Shiva worship in the Pradosh Kaal, the twilight window after sunset, whenever Trayodashi prevails at sunset, about twice a month.
In the Pradosh Kaal, roughly the first three muhurtas after sunset, Shiva is said to dance in his gentlest, most bestowing mood on the Trayodashi tithi. The vrat is observed on the day Trayodashi prevails at sunset, which is why each city can differ.
The weekday colours the vrat: Soma Pradosh (Monday) and Shani Pradosh (Saturday) are held highest; Bhauma (Tuesday) is sought for health and debts.
A fast through the day; in the Pradosh window, abhisheka of the Shivalinga, bel leaves, deepa and the Pradosh katha. The exact sunset-to-kaal-end window for your city is on this site's Pradosh list.
